Conversations in the Cloud
A Community-based interview series for the IFS Cloud Cable Car
w/Transport for London
In the latest episode of Conversations in the Cloud our TV Presenter Kirsty Malcolm was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to learn more about;
π Londonβs Black history, the origins of the Carnival and the reasons behind its original foundation from TikTok History Expert @kaynekawasaki
π A phenomenal Childrenβs author who is writing Black historical figures into our modern day British literature @claire_linney
π₯ The incredible work that goes into the magnificent performances you see during the carnival from Keon @xokiwiox the Queen of the Drums of the @londonschoolofsamba
π As well as about Windrush workers who rebuilt our transport system after the war and their many descendants who have gone on to work across the network that youβll see in amazing archive from the TfL libraries
I encourage you to watch these fascinating, informative and inspiring interviews on the TfL YouTube that are packed with facts, and heaps of information I wish Iβd known sooner with some laughs and dancing along the way.
Big thanks to @ifslondoncablecar & @transportforlondon for running this community-led interview series shining a light on amazing London communities from their cosy cable car - with stunning views I might add π‘
